With the internet being now almost accessible to anyone there is an abundance of information being made available even on the most bizarre topics. When you cannot find it using one of the well known search engines, you usually will find something about it on WikiPedia. The lifestyle my slave and I are choosing to live is no exception to this phenomenon, tying in Total Power Exchange and hitting the search button yields a copious amount of results. 

There is one topic that even our community does not like to talk about. By putting myself into a position of absolute power I am making myself vulnerable to all of the cognitive biases that we come fitted with from birth on. Without further ado, here is the new star of herowner.com. Please let me introduce you to BDSM-101 the fun and light-hearted and sometimes educational but surely completely normal Master/slave comic strip. Created by Don with some ideas from yours truly and input from my slave. I sincerely hope that everyone who visits this web-site will enjoy these strips.

The first strip is meant not only to introduce the comic itself, but to also show you all that my slave and I lead a completely normal life. We have our own rituals and our own ways of how we choose to express ourselves, but the scene you see depicted in this introductory piece of art is a normal one in our home.

I read books, just like anyone else, I spend time with the woman I love. We simply happen to be spending time a little different than others when we are together. Yes, my slave wears a collar, yes my slave wears a leash,(…)

I thought that I should give a little progress report on where Don and I are regarding the comic. I am encouraged by the comment I have gotten on my previous post and it seems that there will be some that might like to read it after all. I have left much of the decision on how to style the comic and what its characters will be like to Don as he has about 35 years experience being an artists and I have none.

We have both agreed on an introductory piece, to quote Don:

Recently I have had the pleasure of reading an article by one of my heroes. His name is Jakob Nielsen and the recently published article deals with participation inequality on most popular web-sites. According to the  article published by Nielsen:

• 90% of users are lurkers (i.e., read or observe, but don’t contribute).
• 9% of users contribute from time to time, but other priorities dominate their time.
• 1% of users participate a lot and account for most contributions: it can seem as if they don’t have lives because they often post just minutes after whatever event they’re commenting on occurs.

Thinking about this I have come to the conclusion that this general observation is probably true for my slaves and my web-log as well. I want you to participate though, so how can I make this wish come true?
