I thought that I should give a little pro­gress report on where Don and I are regard­ing the comic. I am encour­aged by the com­ment I have got­ten on my pre­vi­ous post and it seems that there will be some that might like to read it after all. I have left much of the decision on how to style the comic and what its char­ac­ters will be like to Don as he has about 35 years exper­i­ence being an artists and I have none.

We have both agreed on an intro­duct­ory piece, to quote Don:

“I envi­sion the first “strip” to be an intro­duc­tion to the strip proper. A wide one panel with a por­trait shot of you at the beginning…

of course I can­not reveal too much, I need to keep the sus­pense after all.

There is one inter­est­ing area though I want to touch on since Don asked me about it and I think it is neces­sary for me to stress this and share my thoughts on the topic.

The Mes­sage

I wanted to cre­ate this comic with the help of Don, because I am tired of hid­ing. Hid­ing, because soci­ety does not under­stand, that there are people like myself and my slave who have chosen to live a dif­fer­ent life­style. We have come to accept many dif­fer­ent ways of express­ing the indi­vidu­al­ity of somone. We accept that there are gays with a gay cul­ture and a cer­tain life­style, we accept the same for the les­bian com­munity. We also accept that there are very reli­gious people with their own cere­mon­ies and we accept that there are atheists.

Why can we not accept that there are people who choose to life as Mas­ter and slave, because one is very dom­in­ant and the other very sub­missive. I want this comic strip to show that we lead a com­pletely nor­mal life, that we love each other, care for each other and that we choose to have our own rituals which fit into our life­style. I wat this comic to show that we do not wear fet­ish cloth­ing all the time and that my slave is not a doormat that will blindly do everything I tell her to do.

Will there be nud­ity? Will there be Bond­age? Will you see how I might envi­sion a slave uni­form for my girl? Will there be expli­cit acts some­times? Yes of course to all of the above. With Don’s help I can finally visu­al­ise what usu­ally has to be described with words and I can also make it easier for you, as the reader, to under­stand exactly what I meant to express.

This comic is part of my dream to edu­cate people and to show them that noth­ing is wrong with me nor my slave. For that very reason Don and I have agreed to name this comic:
