This is going to be a rather short entry, but I feel it has to be made to ensure that everyone understands why I have taken such a step. I have chosen to add a PayPal donation button to the BDSM 101 Gallery page. Producing the BDSM 101 comic does not only cost Don and myself time, but it costs me money. After all Don has to live and his artwork needs to be appropriately priced and then payed for.
Producing one BDSM 101 strip currently costs 105 US Dollars. Fortunately I am in a position where I can afford two strips a month to be published and it still leaves me enough money to do other things for this web-site. I believe that there are more topics which could be shown as a BDSM 101 strip, but there is simply not enough money to do that. If the community decides that is worthwhile their money to enable me to do so, then I will happily oblidge.
Rules of Engagement
Transferring money is always a matter of trust. I will keep these donations completely transparent. I will make a list publically available which shows (unless you tell me not to show your name) a list of Who donated, how much and when. A second list will show whose donation was used to pay for which strip.
Strips payed for my the community will be owned by the community and shared using one of the Creative Commons licenses.
I am not doing this for my own finacial gain, I strongly believe that BDSM 101 is not only fun to look at, but also an educational tool. If you feel it is worth your money, however it might be, then I would welcome your donation and try to utilise it to the best of my abilities to create more strips together with Don.
I am dedicated to these strips and as a first step, beginning with strip number four I will make them available in a larger format, so that any of you may print them out or use them for other bits of private enjoyment.
