Avid read­ers will recall that my slave and I have been toy­ing with the idea of a third per­son in our dynamic for a while now. We believe that there is not only an ele­ment of chal­lenge to that idea, it would also help us to grow as human beings. We often put lim­it­a­tion on ourselves which are made by soci­ety and we never attempt to ven­ture past them. Think­ing that one man and one woman is the ideal com­bin­a­tion is one of them.

Yes­ter­day we went out for din­ner and we met a lovely young woman to chat and be curi­ous about each other. I believe that all of us are giddy to learn where this is going and I can def­in­itely say that it did not slide into an imme­di­ate friend­ship mode. I am very picky and my slave is very picky so find­ing the right com­bin­a­tion of wit, intel­li­gence, beauty and drive is hard. I think it would be hard for any­one but when three people are involved a lot more vari­ables need to line up than with three.

What this exper­i­ence made me real­ise is that you have an oblig­a­tion to keep your own rela­tion­ship excit­ing. It almost feels invig­or­at­ing to viva­ciously absorb the ideas that come with some­thing that is out of the ordin­ary. It not only gives you some­thing to talk about, but allows you to ven­ture down a new path, as Mas­ter and slave just as much as you can as an individual.

I am happy that I own a slave that is will­ing to remain curi­ous about the things out there in the world and open enough to explorer with me. That will­ing­ness is based on trust which brings us back to one of the ten­ants I have stressed on this blog for a long time. You need to allow your slave to feel safe in who she is to you and you can­not jepord­ise that bond ever. I am involved in this little adven­ture just as much as she is involved in it. Meet­ing new indi­vidu­als is import­ant, keep­ing your rela­tion alive and vibrant trough out­side influ­ence even more so.

I have to say that I am very excited and I feel almost giddy like a school boy going to his first chem­istry les­son. Simply because I heard that is where we get to blow up things and learn all kinds of won­der­ful other things. I hope a learn­ing jour­ney has star­ted yes­ter­day night and I am quite curi­ous as to where it will lead me and my slave.
